First book of 2020 is now read.  I finished Michael Connelly’s The Gods of Guilt on Sunday night (after celebrating a Vikings victory and Saturday’s New England loss.) Connelly is on the Mt. Rushmore of crime fiction writers and deservedly so. This is the 5th book in the Mickey Haller series and I’d sort of wished I’d read #4 prior to this because there’s some backstory that probably would’ve provided a fuller context for me. Really heavy on trial strategy and courtroom drama, it’s 100% a legal thriller. Good, solid read.

Now to choose my second read of 2020…
